I have to admit that I was skeptical with the rage of cell phone photography but with Apple’s latest iPhone, I’m impressed with the quality of the images. Now, please don’t misunderstand me, I’m not giving up on my entire Canon photo equipment I use on my professional shoots and I would never say the iPhone photos are better than what I can do with my Canon 5D Mark II. But do I carry all my equipment with me as I’m out for a recreational bike ride around South Beach? Heck no. I either just have my iPhone in my pocket or sometimes, I’ll carry what I call my “travel camera”– a Canon Rebel which is a great light-weight, portable camera for when I’m not working.
So this morning I decided to have a coffee at The News Cafe on Ocean Drive. Parked right in front is this amazing Corvette (yes, I’m still a little kid sometimes when it comes to cars. And yes, those classic Vettes are just beautiful). So I played around with a few photos. And the owner even left the original owner’s manual on the dash for everyone to see…or ogle. And as I’m writing this, I just realized that this car is 50 years old!
