Scotty’s Landing on the left is almost always busy- The Chart House on the right usually has an empty deck
Here is my first photographic Miami Herald Op-Ed piece which I wrote recently. Scotty’s Landing is a popular bayfront restaurant and bar which has a long-term lease with the city of Miami. That lease is up for renewal now. Some larger, corporate, chain restaurants would like to pay the city for a new lease but Scotty’s has a loyal clientele. It’s an interesting battle. My opinion is pretty obvious in the Op-Ed. To go the Miami Herald’s online edition of my Op-Ed, go here.
What are your thoughts? Should the independent, locally-owned restaurant get a new long-term lease? Or should the city give it to an out-of-town, corporate chain?
I’m hired to photograph people and events: executive headshots, magazine portraiture, acting & modeling photos, family portraits, online dating profile photos, weddings, mitzvahs, quinces, etc. in Southern Florida, in Maine (whenever I’m back there visiting) and I travel often to photo shoots. I’ve had private portrait sessions with many prominent people which YOU CAN VIEW HERE.
