One of my ongoing “personal projects” is photographing any current events taking place in the Miami area that interests me. Besides the Trayvon Martin case, the media has given lots of attention to the grand opening of the some-what controversial new Miami Marlins stadium located in Little Havana and built on the old Orange Bowl property. Of course, as a portrait photographer, I like to include people in almost all my photography I do. In my photo of the stadium, I included this Little Havana native, Roberto Rosalez. It turns out he’s a baker waiting for his “Bus 17” to go to work who seemed almost indifferent to the $600+ million giant behind him.
I love how the roof of the bus stop matches the shape of the stadium’s retractable roof.
