Roxanne Vargas of NBC6 South Florida Today hosts the Bakehouse Art Complex Lucky You Fundraiser

Last night I attended another fantastic fundraiser: The Bakehouse Art Complex‘s “Lucky You” evening gala as a guest of my friend and art aficionado Myra Wexler.  If you haven’t been to the Bakehouse (BAC), definitely go.  It’s a huge facility which used to be a commercial bakery and now has over 60 artists’ studios.  And last night’s fundraiser was extremely well done and was hosted by local celebrity Roxanne Vargas of NBC6 South Florida Today!

And I met and photographed the disguised street graffiti artist “Nobody” whose slogan is “Art is my weapon.”

The special event featured original paintings, sculptures, photography and mixed media works by more than 70 BAC and other Miami-based artists that were raffled off throughout the evening.

Guests enjoyed a rare live perfomance by Miami’s own Panic Bomber and musical stylings by DJ Immortal. Hors d’oeuvres and cocktails were served by elegantly, if scantily clad, model-waitresses!

Proceeds from this event benifitted the BAC’s continuous programs and special events in order to maintain the organization as one of the most unique facilities for artists in Miami and the Wynwood Arts District.

People hire me to photograph their events (weddings, Mitzvahs, receptions, fundraisers, private parties, etc.) and do portraiture (acting & modeling headshots, individual portraits, corporate portraits, social media and online dating profile photos, etc).
